QSI Associates’ principle, David McAnany has 37 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including API manufacture, finished product and process development for Injectable, Inhalation and Ophthalmic products. David started his career with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer manufacturing investigational APIs and had increasing roles of responsibility in global technology and validation, technical transfer and commercialization of aerosol products. He held a corporate quality role with Wyeth and then was the department head for API and CMO tech transfer for Baxter Healthcare. David was the R&D site head at Hikma Pharma, Cherry Hill NJ where his team developed sterile products including pre-filled syringes, ophthalmic and micro-emulsions. He became Associate Vice President of Technical Operations with Nevakar, a 505(b)2 specialty injectable and ophthalmic company. Subsequently, becoming the Head of R&D and Regulatory Affairs for Penn Life Sciences. David is currently VP, R&D and Regulatory Affairs for QSI Associates.

 

David holds a BA in Physics from Temple University and a Master of Engineering, Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.

 

David also teaches three courses for Medical Device and Pharmaceuticals as an adjunct professor (thru Patient for Pathways Organization) at two universities (Institute for Biomedical Sciences, Georgia State University and  Department of Natural Sciences LaSalle University).
